Words cannot express how excited I am to see Doug McConnell back on local TV!  Although his “OpenRoad” show debut back in April on KNTV, I am only hearing about it now.

Growing up, I was mesmerized by all the interesting and beautiful places Doug (and his dog) would explore on KRON-TV’s “Bay Area Backroads.”  The storytelling was great, but he really helped to highlight the best parts of every Bay Area gem.  

His unique brand of adventure storytelling inspired me to learn as much as I could about Bay Area history and to convey that oral history to friends and family I bring along. 

Frankly, I can’t wait to see where Doug goes next!
