Data show that for most white Americans, none of their best friends are black.

Where’s the outrage on this?  Americans pay lip service to tolerance and acceptance, yet many of us don’t have (many or any) friends of different racial backgrounds.

What do friends of different racial backgrounds provide to you?

• Understanding of why stereotypes hurt
• Appreciation for traditions and history
• Someone to knock you upside the head when you make a racist comment or rash generalization
